Final Digital Business Ecosystem International Stakeholders Workshop
Digital Ecosystems of Knowledge, Business and Culture

The aim of this session is to present to a wider public of regional stakeholders the concept of Digital Ecosystems (DE) and the potential opportunities that DE offer to regional development.

This activity is part of a wider set of dissemination actions that the peardrop project has implemented for the past year. These explain to regions the benefits that they can take from the deployment of such a new paradigm for economic growth and development, especially for SMEs.

During this session, the peardrop project will offer to participants:
  •  An introduction of the Digital Ecosystem concept
  •  Presentation of peardrops “DBE Toolkit” on Digital Business Ecosystem deployment
  •  A set of regional deployment examples from all over Europe

 …and much more!

 Do not miss this opportunity:

  • To meet those experts from other European regions, who have already considered the DBE concept and have decided to start planning its use at regional level.
  • To learn about the on-line peardrop “DBE Deployment Planning Guide”: an easy to use tool for regional DBE Deployment planning that you are invited to try out at www.peardrop.eu (to access the site you will need to register, which is free and open to everyone).

The acronym peardrop stands for
Promoting Ecosystems And Regional Development in support of Regional Operational Programming

It is a Specific Support Action (SSA) under the strategic objective 2.5.8 "ICT for Networked Businesses" with a view to clarifying, disseminating and promoting the results of regional deployments of innovative ecosystem and SMEs cluster models.
In short, its principal focus is to make the tools for exploitation and adoption of new innovative business paradigms in ICT for Enterprise Networking more accessible and usable for regional policy makers and key local actors.
